Sararattir’s new production ‘Rong Nao Tumi’ tells the poignant story of an immigrant family , who stayed together through thick and thin, huddled together to ride tormenting waves of uncertainties and tribulations on a distant foreign land until they face a major crisis that threatens to blow them into irrelevant disconnected splinters.
In the eye of the storm, is a non-stereotypical single mother who raised her only daughter from being a shy Indian kid , a thorough misfit in school into a confident young girl, but now faces the grueling trial on her own integrity…..
Then there is the daughter who was once the very important cog of the family suddenly sees a gapping chasm between her mother and her.
The unbearable weight of circumstances almost blind-folds the brother, who idolized his didi, to start disbelieving.
Then there is a wife who carefully walks a tight rope balancing emotions but finally surrenders to love.
Enters lately a new friend to the family, who uniquely unravels the inner being of the main protagonists …
This complex interplay of emotions, these continuous twists and turns, the troughs, the highs, the ebbs and the crests, the tears laced with laughter, suspicions and triumphs, these constant testing of every relationships by fire will hold you to the edge of your seat.
